This dealt with both the 'look and feel' and the interaction design for business and location searches including POI interactions, the quick search/around me functionality and the business profile pages. Upon launch the app leapt straight to the number one spot for free navigation apps and has remained there since. With gilt-edged picture frames, the display at first looked like any other artwork in the room. However, a second glance showed that the "paintings" (which were, in fact, entirely digital) changed over time. One screen told an Australian story, and the other a New Zealand story - with each painting changing in sync and showing different sides of similar trans-Tasman themes.
